Greenberg Traurig’s Barbara Kaplan to Speak at the 11th Annual University of San Diego School of Law - Procopio International Tax Institute Conference

SAN DIEGO – Oct. 14, 2015 – Barbara T. Kaplan, co-chair of the Global Tax Practice and chair of the New York Tax Practice at international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will speak at the University of San Diego School of Law - Procopio International Tax Institute’s (USD-PITI) conference on U.S.-Mexico-Canada cross-border tax issues. Specifically, Kaplan will appear on a panel discussing “Current Practical Problems for Taxpayers in OVDP and Streamlined” from 12 p.m. to 1:20 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at the Omni Hotel in San Diego, California.

According to their website, the USD-PITI is the premier educational and networking event for the latest developments in the international tax laws of the U.S., Mexico, and Canada. The USD-PITI conference reveals international tax trending topics that affects cross-border business operations and tax and financial decisions. The program will cover the fine points of international tax such as International Audits, FATCA, OVDP, BEP's, Automatic Exchange of Information, and International Criminal Investigations with a focus on Business Planning and Family Wealth Preservation strategies among Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
