Greenberg Traurig Receives Accolade at 2015 Turnaround Atlas Awards

CHICAGO July 6, 2015International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP received an award at Global M&A Network’s 7th Annual Turnaround Atlas Awards June 23, 2015, in Chicago. According to the Global M&A Network website, the Turnaround Atlas Awards honor excellence in the categories of best value-creating turnaround deals, sought-after professionals, and outstanding firms from the international restructuring, special situations M&A, judicial and out-of-court reorganizations industries.

The firm received the “Turnaround of the Year - Small Markets” award for its role in the ATLS Acquisition (Liberty Medical) and nine affiliates, Chapter 11 plan of reorganization, and sale to an investor group.

The Greenberg Traurig team represented Liberty Medical, a leading mail order provider of diabetes testing supplies, in its Chapter 11 case in Delaware and led a very complex restructuring of more than $300 million in debt and litigation claims. The company was sold to an investment group led by Palm Beach Capital for $68.5 million.

The team was led by Nancy A. Mitchell and included Paul J. Keenan, Jr., Joseph P. Davis, Scott M. Grossman, Eric D. Hargan, Matthew M. Miller, Nancy E. Taylor, Kenneth Zuckerbrot and Matthew L. Hinker.
