MIAMI - April 22, 2016 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP joined The European Chambers of Miami to host the seminar: “Is Cuba Open for Business?” on April 14 at the Miami office of Greenberg Traurig.
Yosbel A. Ibarra, Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig's Latin American and Iberian Practice, participated as a panelist in the roundtable discussion along with an esteemed panel of experts that included: Robert Barcelo, Business Cargo Development Manager for Port Everglades; and John Price, Managing Director of American Market Intelligence.

The speakers and audience engaged in a lively roundtable discussion regarding risks and opportunities of doing business in Cuba. The discussion included investment hurdles stemming from Cuba’s corroded infrastructure. Speakers also shared insights and experiences related to how the development of the new Mariel port and container terminal west of Havana will affect business activity in South Florida and around the world.
