Greenberg Traurig Warsaw and Berlin Members Complete 37th Berlin Half Marathon

BERLIN –  April 3, 2017 – Congratulations to the Greenberg Traurig Warsaw Runners Team and colleagues from the Berlin office on successfully completing the 37th Berlin Half Marathon, held on 2 April 2017 in Berlin, Germany.

On Sunday, 2 April 2017, a 10-person strong team composed of employees of GTPoland and GTBerlin offices took part in the 37th Berliner Halbmarathon, extending the spirit of teamwork and cooperation from the workplace to the racecourse.

Berliner Halbmarathon is one of the most popular running events in Central Europe and it starts and finishes on Karl-Marx-Allee, a landmark boulevard in eastern Berlin. In addition to the main race, the event includes a race for inline-skaters, wheelchair athletes, and handbikers. All participants use the same course of the official half marathon distance of 21.0975 km. This year the total number of participants amounted to 35,537 from 106 countries.

Participants lauded the great weather, the quality of the race, and German hospitality. The Warsaw team now plans to host Greenberg Traurig’s international teams soon, with the intent of starting a new tradition.

Warsaw Team members were:

Tomasz Denko, Marta Hiż, (and her husband Marek Hiż ), Filip Janeczko, Filip Kijowski, and Agnieszka Niewiadomska.

The Berlin Team was composed of:

Daniel Benighaus, Martin Dobias, Kathrin Peiffer, Simon Pfefferle, and Henning Sieber.
