ORLANDO, Fla. – May 15, 2017 – Beth A. Norrow, an associate in the Orlando office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, was recently appointed to the Consumer Protection Law Committee of The Florida Bar.
The Consumer Protection Law Committee’s mission is to educate consumers and Bar members about consumer protection laws and current issues through such means as public outreach events, public service messages, CLE programs, consumer publications, nonpartisan technical assistance memoranda on proposed legislation, and providing expert resources to The Florida Bar, the Judiciary, and the Legislature.
“It is a privilege to have been asked to participate in this important facet of consumer affairs. Serving in this capacity with The Florida Bar will allow me to extend my knowledge of consumer protection matters to a broad audience throughout the state, helping to educate consumers on how they can protect their interests,” stated Norrow.
Norrow focuses her practice in creditor’s rights and lender liability, representing financial institutions and secured creditors in protecting assets, and enforcing property rights and obligations. She began her career in Michigan defending major automobile manufacturers, dealers, and creditors against breach of warranty and Lemon Law complaints, as well as, claims regarding Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act violations, State and Federal Consumer Protection Act violations, and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act violations.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree from Madonna University and earned her J.D. from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
