TAMPA – August 21, 2017 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig has been selected to serve as Public Private Partnership (P3) Counsel for Hillsborough County. The firm will provide the county with a comprehensive, multidisciplinary team of attorneys from its Global Public Infrastructure Group with experience handling matters including Public Finance, Tax, New Markets Tax Credits, Land Use, Environment, Real Estate, Construction, Insurance, and EB-5 Visa Financing.
Under the five-year contract term, Greenberg Traurig attorneys are expected to provide counsel to Hillsborough County in connection with multiple transactions where public and private resources will be utilized to develop infrastructure, services, or vital community and economic development facilities.
Greenberg Traurig attorneys have advised project sponsors, banks, institutional investors, monoline insurance companies, governmental authorities - including numerous state and independent transportation agencies - governmentally-controlled tax exempt entities, community and economic development entities, not-for-profit organizations, and municipalities on a wide range of project financing and infrastructure transactions in the U.S. and overseas, including alternative finance models to leverage private investment.
