MIAMI – Nov. 15, 2018 – Jaret L. Davis, co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig, P.A.’s Miami office, was recognized with the Apogee Award in the category of Partner/Owner – Miami-Dade County from South Florida Business & Wealth magazine at an event at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach on Nov. 14. The Apogee Awards recognize distinguished leaders who hold positions in the C-suite of companies in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.

As co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office, Davis oversees approximately 170 attorneys and 200 business staff. For more than a decade, he has overseen the office and served as one of several attorneys leading the firm’s efforts to be a dominant player in the technology industry both in South Florida and beyond.

Davis focuses his corporate and securities practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and large financings. The vast majority of his clients are technology players, ranging from information technology companies, to life sciences/biotech companies, to companies focusing on renewable energy sources.

During Davis’s tenure, the Miami office has been a thought leader in representing angel investors, venture capital firms, growth equity funds, as well as various technology companies along all intervals of the life cycle, from startup to multi-billion dollar publicly traded companies. He routinely provides representation to publicly traded clients having an aggregate market capitalization of over $20 billion.

“I am honored to be among this outstanding group of South Florida leaders receiving an Apogee Award,” said Davis, who also is chairman of the Nicklaus Children's Hospital Board of Directors, and immediate past chair of The Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County’s official economic development organization. “As a leader both within my law firm and my community, I look forward to continuing to advance the regional business community.”
