Greenberg Traurig’s Senior Chairman Cesar L. Alvarez received the Lifetime Achievement Award from American Lawyer Media at the American Lawyer Industry Awards Dec. 5. The award honors attorneys whose remarkable careers have shaped the legal profession. Greenberg Traurig won The American Lawyer’s National Litigation Department of the Year award for Products Liability, which was accepted by Lori G. Cohen, Co-Chair of the firm's Global Litigation Practice and chair of its Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice, Shareholder Russell “Chip” A. Gaudreau and Shareholder Daniel I.A. Smulian. The Atlanta office won the award for Regional Litigation Department of the Year in Georgia. Co-President Ernest LaMont Greer and Cohen accepted the award on behalf of the team. In addition, the Litigation team in the firm’s Philadelphia office was a finalist for The American Lawyer Regional Litigation Department of the Year award for Pennsylvania.
