Scott Bornstein Receives National Law Journal’s Intellectual Property Trailblazer Award

NEW YORK – March 1, 2018 – Scott Bornstein, co-chair of law firm Greenberg Traurig LLP's Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice, has been named a 2018 Intellectual Property Trailblazer in the National Law Journal.

The Intellectual Property Trailblazer award recognizes legal professionals who “make their mark in various aspects of legal work in the areas of patent, copyright, trademark and trade secret law,” according to the National Law Journal.

Bornstein is also the co-chair of the firm's Global Patent Litigation Group, and serves on the firm's Executive Committee. He has wide-ranging patent trial experience and has served as lead counsel in more than 100 patent litigations. Bornstein has broad experience in patent, trademark and copyright litigation, inter partes review proceedings, ITC litigation, licensing and general IP counseling for a wide variety of national and international clients. He also has wide-ranging experience working with clients to develop comprehensive prosecution and enforcement strategies that support their business objectives.

Bornstein is frequently recognized for his legal achievements. He was listed in Benchmark Litigation’s “National Litigation Star” in 2018; Managing IP Magazine's World IP Handbook and Survey’s "IP Stars," from 2013-2017; and IAM Magazine under "IAM Patent 1000," Litigation from 2012-2015 and 2017, among others. He is a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, American Intellectual Property Law Association, and the American Bar Association. Bornstein has also co-chaired the IP Section of the Women’s Bar Association for the State of New York and served as co-chair of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, IP Committee.
