NEW YORK – Sept. 25, 2018 – The LMG Life Sciences 2018 Guide’s “Life Science Stars” includes 16 attorneys from global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP.

The LMG Life Sciences Guide serves as a resource for in-house counsel identifying leading lawyers and firms in multiple practice areas. According to its website, LMG Life Sciences’ research involved over 1,000 online surveys and interviews with nearly 600 attorneys in the United States, as well as a review of public information and feedback from clients within the industry.

In addition, Lori G. Cohen, the firm’s co-chair of Global Litigation; chair of its Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice; chair of the Trial Practice; and co-chair of the Atlanta Litigation Practice, was named “2018 Product Liability Attorney of the Year” and inducted into the Life Sciences Hall of Fame. Her national litigation practice focuses on product liability litigation and, specifically, medical device and pharmaceutical litigation. Cohen has obtained 50-plus defense verdicts at trial.

  • Jonathan D. Ball, Ph.D., a shareholder in the firm’s New York office, has 17 years of experience representing life sciences clients in intellectual property matters, including patent litigations and trials, with a focus on Hatch-Waxman litigation.

  • Lori G. Cohen, a shareholder in the Atlanta office, focuses her national litigation practice on pharmaceutical and medical device companies and has vast experience in mass tort, multidistrict, and class action litigation.
  • David J. Dykeman, co-chair of the firm’s Global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group, and co-chair of firm’s Boston IP Group, is a registered patent attorney with more than 20 years of experience in patent and intellectual property law.
  • Wayne H. Elowe, chair of the Atlanta Corporate Practice, concentrates his practice on international business and complex commercial transactions, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic alliances, licensing, and technology transactions.
  • Robert L. Grossman, chair of the firm’s Israel Practice and a shareholder in the firm’s Miami office, has represented public and private companies, including companies in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, health care, energy and natural resources, technology and software, and communications industries.
  • Melissa Hunter-Ensor, Ph.D., vice chair of the firm’s Global Patent Prosecution Group and registered patent attorney in the firm’s Boston office, focuses her practice on the intellectual property and commercial needs of clients in the life science industry.
  • Michael H. Imbacuan, a shareholder in the firm’s New York office, focuses his practice on patent litigation in the pharmaceutical and chemical arts.
  • Allan Kassenoff, a shareholder in the firm’s New York office, has 18 years of experience in patent matters covering a wide range of technologies and industry sectors.
  • David C. Peck, co-chair of the Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group and a shareholder in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office, works with emerging growth companies, established entities, and private equity firms in executing their strategic plans.
  • Richard C. Pettus, shareholder in the firm’s New York office, has 20 years of experience in the litigation and trial of patent matters in the pharmaceutical and medical device fields, with a focus on Paragraph IV Hatch-Waxman litigation.

  • Nancy E. Taylor, co-chair of the Health & FDA Business Practice and shareholder in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, has broad experience in areas relating to the Affordable Care Act provisions, CMS reimbursement, and policy issues relating to providers and plans, and she has done a significant amount of FDA regulatory work.
  • Fang Xie, Ph.D. is a shareholder and registered patent attorney in the firm’s Boston office. She advises clients on international intellectual property issues, including portfolio strategy, due diligence, and cross-border licensing. Her practice focuses on biotechnology, immunotherapy, synthetic biology, pharmaceuticals, and other life science technologies.
