Greenberg Traurig Attorneys to Speak at Women, Diversity & Law Summit Series

ATLANTA – Oct. 29, 2019Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholders Janna S. Nugent and Natasha L. Wilson and Of Counsel Seleta M. Griffin will participate in panel discussions at the Women, Diversity & Law: Awareness Into Action Summit, taking place in Atlanta on Oct. 30, at Twelve Hotel, Atlantic Station. Greenberg Traurig is a sponsor of the event.

The conference is part of The Women in Law Summit Series and consists of networking and learning opportunities that explore how to create lasting change for women and minorities in the legal profession.

Nugent, co-chair of the Atlanta Business Litigation Group, will speak as part of a panel titled, "Career Transitions: From Associate to Partner, Law Firm to In-House." The discussion will explore the challenges of professional transition periods—whether from associate to partner, or outside to in-house counsel—and offer guidance for those contemplating, entering, or experiencing a change in position.

Wilson serves as co-chair of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice's Complex Employment Litigation & Trials group and co-chair of the Atlanta Labor & Employment Practice and will participate in a panel discussion titled, "Women of Color in Law: The Changing Landscape." The session will address why so few minority women make it to equity partnership in Big Law or to the c-suite of major corporations.

Griffin is a member of the firm's Litigation practice. She will participate in a panel titled, "Increasing Diversity In-House & at Law Firms: The Role We All Play," which will discuss why the legal field is lagging behind other industries in the arena of diverse leadership.
