PHOENIX – Feb. 5, 2019 – Nicole M. Goodwin, managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Phoenix office, was elected chair of the Board of Directors of the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center (SARRC). Founded in 1997, the nonprofit organization is dedicated to autism education, research, evidence-based treatment, and community outreach. The organization’s mission is “to advance research and provide a lifetime of support for individuals with autism and their families.”

“We’re thrilled to announce the appointment of Nicole as SARRC’s board chair,” said Daniel Openden, president and CEO at SARRC. “During her time on SARRC’s Board of Directors, Nicole has served as vice chair and governance chair; developed strategic relationships for the organization; and has been actively engaged in strategic planning. We’re confident that as board chair, she will help advance the growth and vitality of SARRC as we strive to better serve the autism community.”
Deeply involved in the Phoenix community, Goodwin also teaches at Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University and volunteers as a judge pro tempore and family court advisor.
Named one of The Most Influential Women in Arizona Business for 2018 by Arizona Business Magazine, Goodwin is a business litigator. She has represented public and private corporate clients in state and federal trial and appeals courts, as well as before administrative tribunals and arbitration venues. Goodwin is a counselor and advisor on exposure and litigation alternatives for clients that range from Arizona-based businesses to large national clients.
