GT Attorneys Present at Hospitality Asset Managers Association Spring 2019 Conference

WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 1, 2019 — Three hospitality attorneys from Greenberg Traurig, LLP will give a presentation at the Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) Spring 2019 Conference April 4, 2019, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, D.C.

Nelson F. Migdal, Nicholas N. Palmer, and Rosemarie Salguero will lead an education session for asset managers seeking to obtain Certified Hotel Asset Manager (CHAM) designation – the only advanced certification available for hotel asset management professionals seeking to gain advanced knowledge in all facets of hotel ownership and operations.  The Greenberg Traurig team will present an overview of the mechanics of management and franchise agreements, addressing the benefits and trade-offs of each model, and will discuss strategies for negotiating with these agreements in the evolving hospitality industry.

Nelson, co-chair of the firm’s Hospitality Practice, focuses his practice on the acquisition and disposition of hotels, hotel operations and management, franchising, licensing and branding, development and finance, large mixed-use projects, hotel management agreements, licensing agreements, commercial real estate acquisition and sale, and commercial leasing.

Palmer also handles commercial real estate and hospitality matters.  He represents clients in the acquisition, disposition, financing, development, and leasing of office, retail, and mixed-use buildings as well as the acquisition, disposition, management, franchising, licensing, and branding of hotels and resorts.

Salguero focuses her practice on a wide range of transactional matters in the real estate, hospitality, and restaurant industries. She advises clients on acquisitions, dispositions, management, franchising, licensing, branding, and leasing for a broad range of asset types including single building, shopping centers, mixed-use, and hotel projects.
