Greenberg Traurig advises Benson Elliot on the acquisition of the Schloss-Straßen-Center in Berlin for EUR 65.5 million

Greenberg Traurig advised the UK-based private equity fund manager Benson Elliot with an international team from Germany and the Netherlands on the purchase of the Schloss-Straßen-Center in Berlin. The vendor RDI REIT sold the shopping center for 65.5 million euros.

The 18,600 square meter shopping center is in the Berlin district of Steglitz-Zehlendorf on Schloßstrasse, one of the prime high streets in southwestern Berlin. The center is 97% occupied, with a mix of national and international retailers.

Greenberg Traurig's interdisciplinary team provided advice to Benson Elliot on all legal aspects of the acquisition of the property by way of a share deal and on the structuring of the joint venture.
