Greenberg Traurig Advises Activum on Purchase of Office Building in Stuttgart

Greenberg Traurig advised the British investment manager ActivumSG (Activum) on the acquisition of an office and training building for a fund. The seller of the property located in Stuttgart (Germany) is the "Internationaler Bund" (IB), an independent organization involved in youth, social, and educational work. The parties agreed to not disclose the purchase price.

Greenberg Traurig comprehensively advised Activum on all legal aspects of the acquisition as part of a sale-and-leaseback transaction. Accordingly, IB said it will continue to use around 80 percent, or 8,000 square meters, of the total of approximately 10,000 square meters as an anchor tenant. Activum says it plans to comprehensively refurbish the property, develop it further and reposition it on the market.

Background: Activum is a long-standing client of Greenberg Traurig in Germany. Most recently, the firm advised the investment manager on its acquisition of the Dutch Odyssey Hotel Group.
