Bob Lane Elected to ACREL Board of Governors

NASHVILLE — Oct. 29, 2021 The American College of Real Estate Lawyers (ACREL) elected Philadelphia Real Estate Practice Leader Robert D. “Bob” Lane Jr. of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP to the organization’s board of governors.

ACREL made the announcement during its 2021 annual meeting. The term is for three years, beginning Jan. 1, 2022.

ACREL describes itself as “the premier organization of U.S. real estate lawyers.” Fellowships are by invitation-only and offered to attorneys based on “outstanding legal ability, experience and high standards of professional and ethical conduct in the practice of real estate law,” according to its website.

"We’d like to congratulate Bob on this notable achievement," said Global Real Estate Practice Co-Chairs Stephen L. Rabinowitz, Richard J. Giusto, and Michael J. Baum in a joint statement. “It speaks to Bob’s experience and dedication, both of which certainly have earned him the respect of his clients and peers throughout the industry.”

Greenberg Traurig is one of few law firms with multiple ACREL members, including shareholders Burt Bruton, Steven Fleissig, Jodi R. Goodheart, John J. Griffin, Jr., Robert J. Ivanhoe, and Kent Newsome. An ACREL fellow since 1995, Lane also has served as co-chair of the ACREL meetings committee.

With some four decades of experience in real estate law, Lane counsels clients in a range of industries on commercial real estate development, acquisition, and financing matters. He augments his representations – with clients spanning small businesses to Fortune 500 companies – with deep and active professional and civic engagement activities throughout the Philadelphia region and across the country.
