Gretchen A. Ramos Presents ACC San Francisco Bay Area Webinar on 2022 Privacy Compliance Issues

SAN FRANCISCO – Nov. 29, 2021 –  Gretchen A. Ramos, global co-chair of the Data, Privacy, and Cybersecurity Practice of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will speak in a program titled “Front Burner Privacy Compliance Issues For 2022,” hosted by the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC).

This program aims to provide a 2022 roadmap for organizations navigating their compliance obligations under new state privacy laws which go into effect in 2023, including the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act (VCDPA), and the Colorado Privacy Act (CPA). Additionally, Ramos will also touch upon some other major data protection issues that global organizations will need to address in 2022, including cross-border transfers of personal data, transfer impact assessments, and new privacy laws on the horizon.

Ramos is a shareholder in the San Francisco office. She advises technology, fintech, healthcare, life sciences, ecommerce, retail, and gaming companies on how to manage their data and leverage its value in ways to meet compliance obligations while delivering value to the business. Her experience working with various industries allows her to quickly assess options and their potential risks, and provide clients with practical solutions for their most complicated data protection issues.
