Greenberg Traurig’s Jaret Davis Recognized as One of Onyx Magazine’s 2021 “Men of Honor”

MIAMI, FL – Sept. 20, 2021 – Jaret L. Davis, co-managing shareholder of the Miami office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was recognized as one of ONYX Magazine’s 2021 “Men of Honor” at a black-tie dinner on Sept. 16 in Orlando, Florida.

The Men of Honor honorees were chosen because they exemplify leadership, achievement, integrity, and vision in their efforts to transform their communities and professions, according to ONYX Magazine. This year’s honorees come from across Florida and include elected officials, C-suite leaders, and market presidents.

“I am honored to receive this distinguished award from ONYX Magazine, and to be recognized alongside such inspiring company,” Davis said. “I have always been dedicated in my efforts to give back to my community, while also looking for opportunities to serve as a mentor and leader within my law firm and throughout the business community. Only through our collective efforts can we continue to make our communities the best they can be.”

As co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office, Davis oversees approximately 170 attorneys and 200 business staff. For more than a decade, he has overseen the office and served as one of several attorneys leading the firm’s efforts to be a dominant player in the technology industry both in South Florida and beyond. Davis focuses his corporate and securities practice on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, capital markets transactions, and large financings.

In addition to his practice, Davis serves in several civic capacities that allow him to leverage his professional interests to assist the community. He is chairman of the board of directors of Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, co-founded and serves as general counsel of the eMerge Americas global technology conference, and is the community representative director of The Adrienne Arsht Center Trust. Davis is past chair of The Miami-Dade Beacon Council, Miami-Dade County’s official economic development organization.

“Black people across our state continue to play a pivotal role in the future growth of our communities and ONYX Magazine strives to stay the helm in telling those stories,” said ONYX Magazine publisher Rich Black in a statement. “The gentlemen we honored stand at the very peak of excellence in their communities and professions, and we think it is critical that Florida and the nation know about their accomplishments.”
