GT Miami Returns to Downtown Miami Roots with the ‘Law Office of the Future’

Miami, FL, November 1, 2010 — Greenberg Traurig's Miami office has much more than a new address at 333 Avenue of the Americas at the core of Downtown Miami. The new location is positioned to be what has been called, the “law office of the future."

Much has changed in the legal profession since Greenberg Traurig became one of the first Miami law firms to move from its original location in downtown Miami to the Brickell Avenue corridor more than 20 years ago. As the firm returns downtown, it continues to be a pioneer within the profession while reflecting Greenberg Traurig’s core principles, according to one of its earliest attorneys and now firm Executive Chairman Cesar L. Alvarez.

“Technology has made the world much smaller and client interface much easier in the past two decades, allowing the firm to continue the Greenberg Traurig tradition of achieving more with less,” said Alvarez. “The design and amenities of our new Miami office address client needs and the changing business model for the legal profession.”

Greenberg Traurig occupies five floors of the 47-story Wells Fargo Center that is planned for Certification in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high-performance green buildings. The interior design of the space allows for 24/7 wireless mobility and connectivity with clients without rigid boundaries.

“The design and technology of the office are purposely ‘green’ without losing the human scale. For example, moveable walls add efficiency and flexibility while collaborative spaces facilitate teamwork,” said Greenberg Traurig President Matthew Gorson. “Natural light is used throughout for energy efficiency, as well as to create a better working environment.”
