Greenberg Traurig advises solar supplier Enpal on EUR 39 Million project financing

Greenberg Traurig advised the solar supplier Enpal on a EUR 39 million financing for the purchase of solar systems. The lender is the ING Bank.

The Berlin-based Enpal Group offers homeowners individually tailored solar solutions for rent. Apart from the photovoltaic system, the rental fee also includes insurance, monitoring, maintenance and repairs, and therefore represents an attractive alternative to a system purchase. The sales process, planning, contract conclusion and organisation of the processes (including maintenance) are all completely digitalised.

Greenberg Traurig advised Enpal on all legal aspects of the project financing. Particularly complex issues arose in connection with energy law and due to the innovative business model.

Background: Greenberg Traurig advised Enpal for the first time.
