David van Dijk is one of the Netherlands’ most prominent real estate lawyers and heads the Dutch Real Estate Practice. He focuses his practice on commercial real estate, with emphasis on investments, project development, as well as real estate-related litigation. David joined Greenberg Traurig with his team in December 2020 from a leading Dutch firm, where he headed the Real Estate Group. He has more than 20 years of experience handling international real estate matters.

David is ranked in tier 1 by Chambers in the category “Real Estate – The Netherlands” and "highly recommended" for transactional work. He holds a master's degree in Real Estate Investments (MRE) and is also a member of the President's Panel of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Dispute Resolution Services.

David is a member of the RE-STRUC team, a multidisciplinary team within Greenberg Traurig comprising focus areas including real estate, restructuring, including WHOA (“Dutch Restructuring Scheme”), financing, conflict management, alternative dispute resolution, RICS accredited mediation services, regulatory and tax.   • Assisting Tritax EuroBox on its EUR144.26 million acquisition of a prime logistics asset in the Netherlands from Logistics Capital Partners by means of a share deal. The asset is pre-let to a top-four global discount supermarket group.
  • Assisting MEAG Munich on the intended forward funding acquisition of the Strawinskyhuis property via a share deal, which property is currently being refurbished completely.
  • Assisting Tristan Capital Partners on its EUR92 million acquisition of the QO Hotel in Amsterdam’s city centre from Invesco. The previous tenant went bankrupt and the matter involved simultaneous transfers and leases between the client, seller and new tenant.
  • Assisting W.P. Carey in the portfolio acquisition of 14 car dealerships in The Netherlands by means of a sale-and-leaseback.
  • Assisting Union Investment with the acquisition of a distribution centre ‘Project V8 Veghel’ by means of a forward funding deal. The purchase is being made for a logistics special fund launched jointly by Union Investment and GARBE Industrial Real Estate last year.
