The Greenberg Traurig OSHA Practice represents employers in a myriad of industries across the U.S. regarding workplace safety and health issues. Our team includes the former general counsel of the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, the federal agency in charge of adjudicating workplace safety and health disputes between OSHA and employers, as well a former senior trial attorney at the Office of the Solicitor in the U.S. Department of Labor who enforced OSHA employment laws.

Our OSHA Practice represents employers during workplace safety and health administrative law litigation, whether the matter is small, large, or complex. Our litigation experience includes defending employers regarding employee injury, illness, amputation, fatality, fire, explosion, as well as the release of a highly hazardous substance in the workplace. We work with defense counsel during civil and criminal litigation, where workplace safety or health is a central issue in the case. Our team also represents employers during Chemical Safety Board investigations, which can have a substantial impact in civil and criminal litigation.

Our lawyers proactively work with employers with the goal of minimizing their risk of exposure by providing compliance counseling regarding state and federal recordkeeping regulations, general industry standards, and construction standards. We help employers navigate their way through workplace safety and health inspections. We also conduct workplace safety and health compliance audits under attorney-client privilege. Our team performs workplace safety and health due diligence reviews of companies seeking to be purchased by another company.
