Deconstructing Systemic Racial Bias in the Legal Profession

Please join the Institute for Inclusion in the Legal Profession (“IILP”) and AT&T for the first in a series of virtual programming designed to prevent any loss of progress or momentum in the legal profession’s efforts to become more diverse, equitable, and inclusive. Ernest L. Greer, Co-President of Greenberg Traurig, is a panelist.

If 2020 hindsight teaches us anything, it’s that before the legal profession’s diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts can move forward, we need to understand why a profession of problem solvers has been unable to solve this particular problem. Might it be a result of a profession whose systems are so imbued with racial biases that we have been almost too close to see it or, like victims of Stockholm Syndrome, too capture-bonded to recognize it?
