Profile
Dannia Altemimei advises investment managers on the structure, formation, and operation of alternative investment products, including closed-end, open-end and hybrid fund structures across private equity, real estate, private credit, venture capital and liquid trading strategies. She counsels clients on regulatory and corporate matters spanning fund formation, securities, derivatives, and futures regulation, as well as trading, compliance, and investment adviser issues.
Having spent eight years in senior in-house legal roles at a global asset manager, she brings a practical manager's perspective to the legal, regulatory, and operational challenges her clients face every day.
Dannia’s in-house background included service as Senior Deputy General Counsel of a large global asset manager, where Dannia advised on fund formation and investment vehicle structuring, the creation of novel fund structures, investor and side letter negotiations, regulatory matters, and derivatives and trading documentation. She worked closely with the legal, compliance, treasury, marketing, and portfolio management teams and served on the firm's Expense Allocation, Valuation, and Counterparty Credit Committees. That experience gives her firsthand insight into the intersecting legal, operational, valuation, investor relations, and risk management considerations that shape decision-making for investment managers.
