Daniyal is a member of the firm's Banking and Financial Services team based in the London office.
Daniyal focuses on all aspects of real estate finance, and distressed and special situations investing predominantly in the real estate space. With over 20 years of experience acting for lenders and borrowers in relation to investment and development facilities for all asset classes, he has wide-ranging experience in development and multi-tiered capital structures often involving intercreditor arrangements. Daniyal has acted on loan-on-loan financings, loan sales, workouts, receivables financings, LBOs and restructurings of leveraged and real estate financings. He also acts for lenders in relation to fund financings such NAV facilities and subscription lines. Daniyal is an active member of the firm’s Digital Infrastructure Industry Group and is actively involved in the developing real estate finance market for data centres.

- A London-based special situations lender on separate transactions for the development financing of assets in the student, hospitality and residential sectors in the UK, Italy and Austria.
- JPMorgan on the financing of a UK-based cold storage facility.
- AgFe in relation to commercial ground rent related financings.
- A syndicate of German lenders led by Berlin Hyp on the €435m financing of mixed-use commercial and residential developments in and around Amsterdam.
- Lloyds Bank plc on a range of transactions including: as senior lender under a c.£140m financing of the acquisition and development by Harrison Street of a portfolio of STEM parks across the UK; the £160m senior and mezzanine investment financing of the Thistle hotels group and the £108m senior and mezzanine financing (with PGIM as mezzanine lender) of the development of three PBSA projects in Manchester, Glasgow and Newcastle; the financing of an office asset in Jersey; and the c.£183m financing of a flexible office business with sites across the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands.
