Gregory Fishman is the Co-Managing Shareholder of Greenberg Traurig's Los Angeles office. He represents public and private real estate companies, institutional investors, investment advisors, and financial institutions in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, ground leasing, financing, leasing and development across all property types, both domestically and internationally, including multi-family, student housing, office, medical office, seniors housing, self-storage, industrial, retail and hospitality.

Greg’s finance related work spans the representation of both financial institutions and borrowers in connection with construction, mezzanine and general secured real estate financings, including loan workouts and restructurings. Greg also represents real estate Fund sponsors and investors in connection with the sponsorship, formation and investment in real estate funds focusing on domestic and cross-border investments.

Additionally, Greg represents restaurant groups in connection with brand acquisition, investment and capital-raising, intellectual property and leasing of space.

  • Represented Saperean Capital in connection with debt and equity financing made available to borrowers sponsoring various asset classes, including student housing, seniors housing and medical office portfolios and individual assets across the United States.
  • Represented Remedy Medical Properties, Inc. and its affiliatesin connection with acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financing and development of medical office portfolios and individual assets across the United States.
  • Represented Global Student Accommodation and its affiliates in connection with acquisitions, dispositions, financing, leasing, development and programmatic joint ventures involving student housing portfolios and individual assets across the United States

  • Represented investor group in connection with all facets of development, leasing and sponsorship of retail shopping center located on the Las Vegas Strip involving over 200 units and including food, beverage and entertainment components.
  • Represented Kimco Realty Corporation in connection with the sponsorship and implementation of an approximately $320 million retail land and development fund investing throughout Mexico.
  • Represented Courtland Partners, Ltd. in connection with numerous investments by pension plan clients in domestic and international real estate funds.
  • Represented Associated Estates Realty Corporation in connection with purchase, sale and financing of multi-family apartment buildings throughout the United States.
  • Represented New York based Empellon restaurants.
  • Represented syndicate that purchased iconic New York based Papaya King brand and franchise.
  • Represented Prudential Real Estate Investors in connection with the negotiation of numerous joint venture platforms with developers focusing on investments in industrial, retail and residential developments throughout Mexico.
  • Represented a mortgage company with offices throughout the United States in connection with all facets of its dissolution, including loan workouts with secured creditors.
  • Represented Corus Bank, N.A. in connection with construction loans for condominium and hotel projects located in New York, Las Vegas and other U.S. municipalities.
  • Represented prominent New York based Bank in connection with relocation of approximately 1.2 million square feet of space lost during 9/11 attacks in New York, including negotiation of leases, license agreements, subleases, landlord and mortgagee consents, and early access agreements.
