Hosted by Nonprofits First, a NMTC Educational Workshop will be presented to invited non-profits to learn how they may utilize this tax incentive program to secure funds for real estate acquisition, construction, business expansion, equipment purchasing, and operations. Topics include:
• New Markets Tax Credit program and/or the capital that is available through NMTC
• Learning about below market financing and financing subsidy for capital projects, equipment purchases, or program expansion investment
• Financing subsidies available for operating nonprofit business and real estate projects which serve distressed communities and the residents
• Nonprofit business or real estate projects serving disadvantaged populations or low-income communities
• Turning tax credits into cash
• Examples of NMTC projects
• NMTC process to secure funds
