PLI Cutting-Edge Employment Law Issues 2022: The California Difference

San Francisco shareholders Lindsay Hutner and Philip Person are speaking in a Practising Law Institute (PLI) series Cutting-Edge Employment Law Issues 2022: The California Difference on September 13. 2022. Shareholder Lindsay Hutner is also chairing the event. This full-day event addresses the issues confronted by employment law advisers, litigators and human resources management and professionals, with particular emphasis on California State law considerations. This year's program will also address employment law issues related to post-COVID-19 protocols and practices and the return to office. This program will also provide a retrospective of the employment law landscape over the past five years, since #MeToo. The program combines a comprehensive review of case law and regulatory developments, an in-depth analysis of emerging issues, and practical guidance about best practices to maximize employment law compliance, mitigate legal risk and achieve business objectives.

Philip Person is presenting a session titled "Key Wage & Hour and Class Actions Update in 2021." Topics to be discussed will include the FAST Act and other post-COVID wage & hour issues, new statutes and regulations relating to wage & hour and class action claims, and most critical new court cases on class, collective, and PAGA actions.
