Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have been widely used in a variety of industrial and consumer applications due to their resistance to heat, water, and oil. Increased federal and state regulatory attention on certain types of PFAS has transformed the PFAS discussion.    In light of growing liability concerns and continued uncertainty, this panel will discuss new remediation technologies, recent federal legislation, state regulatory action, and potential impacts on the private sector.  Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Kaitlyn Maxwell is a co-moderator for this CLE program presented by the PBI, the Continuing Legal Education arm of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and co-sponsored with the PBA Environmental & Energy Law Section.
