The Federal Sentencing Guidelines are perhaps the most rapidly changing aspect of federal court practice. This national seminar represents an invaluable training opportunity for those wishing to stay current on the Sentencing Guidelines and federal sentencing law and practice. This seminar differs from other guidelines training because it does not simply provide statistics and facts but instead is an opportunity for intimate discussions on sentencing topics among a mix of defense attorneys (Federal Public Defenders, CJA Attorneys, and private counsel), probation officers, and prosecutors and judges.
Greenberg Traurig attorneys will participate on the Economic Crimes panel. This panel addresses the Sentencing Guidelines and their implications, as well as practical considerations for loss calculation, determining actual versus intended loss, and valuing benefits the government received. The panelists' diverse backgrounds and experience allow for discussion across many substantive areas, including health care, tax, and securities cases. The panel includes:

Panelist: Irina Khasin, Shareholder, Greenberg Traurig
Panelist: Gregory Kehoe, United States Attorney Middle District of Florida
