Jena Valdetero Named to Cybersecurity Docket's 2021 Incident Response 40 List

CHICAGO – April 14, 2021Jena M. Valdetero, co-chair of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s U.S. Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice, has been named to Cybersecurity Docket’s 2021 Incident Response 40 list, which “recognizes the 40 best data breach response attorneys in the business.” This year’s honorees were announced at the annual Incident Response Forum Masterclass, which was held virtually this year on April 8.

The Incident Response list is based on nominations, input from peers, and other professionals in the data privacy field, and considerable research by the Cybersecurity Docket team, according to the publication. To qualify for the list attorneys must have worked in the private sector for at least two years and have a practice dedicated to data breach response work.

Valdetero, who is based in Greenberg Traurig’s Chicago office, advises clients on complex data privacy and security issues. A litigator by background, Valdetero defends companies against privacy and data breach litigation, with an emphasis on class action lawsuits. She advises a diverse array of clients on compliance with existing and emerging privacy laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA), and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Valdetero is a certified privacy professional through the International Association of Privacy Professionals (CIPP/US), for which she is a former KnowledgeNet co-chair.
