Profile
Prashant Kolluri is a first-chair trial lawyer and former federal prosecutor who represents companies and individuals in civil litigation, regulatory matters, internal and government investigations, and white-collar criminal matters. A seasoned litigator with nearly two decades of experience, he has tried more than 15 cases to verdict and argued numerous appeals. Drawing on his government and private practice background, he advises clients facing high-stakes investigations, enforcement matters, and complex litigation.
Prior to joining Greenberg Traurig, Prashant served for nearly 12 years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Illinois, where he held several leadership positions, including Deputy Chief of the Healthcare Fraud Section and Deputy Chief of the Violent Crimes Section. In those roles, he led cross-functional teams of veteran attorneys and federal agents in the investigation and prosecution of some of the Office’s most complex and high-profile matters. His extensive trial and enforcement experience involved a broad spectrum of federal offenses, from financial fraud, public corruption, money laundering, cybercrime, and violent crime to regulatory actions involving health care fraud, the False Claims Act, and the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act. His work earned repeated recognition from his law enforcement partners, including the Cook County Crime Stoppers’ Excellence in Law Enforcement Award and the FBI Director’s Recognition for Outstanding Prosecution.
Prashant also served for five years in the Civil Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office, where he represented the United States in cases involving employment discrimination, tort, and fraud claims, among other civil matters. His civil litigation experience led to his selection as an instructor at the Department of Justice’s National Advocacy Center, where he taught other government attorneys on all aspects of expert discovery, including preparing and analyzing expert reports, conducting expert depositions, and cross-examining experts at trial.
Prior to joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Prashant spent six years at a global law firm, representing clients in high-stakes litigation, government and internal investigations, and securities enforcement proceedings. His practice included matters involving class actions, securities fraud, labor and employment disputes, health care fraud, and products liability.
