Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Brian Michael Cooper will moderate and serve as a featured speaker at the Federal Bar Association Southern District of Texas Chapter’s CLE program, “Game Changer: What Lawyers Need to Know about NIL and the Ongoing Transformation of College Sports.” The program will explore the evolving legal and business landscape of Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) in college athletics, including NCAA developments, pay-to-play considerations, player movement, eligibility requirements, Title IX implications, athlete employment classification, and tax issues. Brian will open the discussion with a historical overview of NIL law and help guide the panel’s examination of the legal and financial issues shaping the future of college sports. The program will take place on May 19, 2026, at Baker Botts in Houston, with both in-person and Zoom participation available.
