The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law: Special Institute on Meeting the Demand: Behind the Meter, Microgrids, and Other Creative Power Supply Solutions

Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Courtney Shephard, a member of the program committee, will participate in Meeting the Demand: Behind the Meter, Microgrids, and Other Creative Power Supply Solutions, a Special Institute presented by The Foundation for Natural Resources and Energy Law (FNREL) Oct. 8-9 in Denver, Colorado.
As electricity demand continues to rise across the United States, driven in part by rapid data center growth and increasing pressure on electric infrastructure, industry stakeholders are exploring innovative power supply solutions, including behind-the-meter generation, microgrids, battery storage, gas turbines, and advanced nuclear technologies. This two-day program will bring together attorneys, utility executives, in-house counsel, independent system operators, developers, and other energy professionals to examine the legal, regulatory, commercial, and operational challenges associated with these emerging energy strategies. Attendees will gain practical insights into reliability, transmission constraints, interconnection processes, resource adequacy, and the evolving regulatory frameworks shaping the future of energy development and grid modernization.
