Greenberg Traurig will participate in COP31, the United Nations Climate Change Conference, taking place November 9–20, 2026, in Antalya, Türkiye.
Erick Hernández Gallego, shareholder leading the Environmental and Energy & Natural Resources practices at Greenberg Traurig’s Mexico City office, President of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Mexico’s Environment Commission, and Co-Chair of ICC’s global Circular Economy Working Group, will participate as part of ICC’s observer delegation, representing businesses in the Blue Zone, where Parties negotiate conference agreements.
Conceived as the “COP of Implementation” following COP30 in Belém do Pará, this edition will focus on implementing the outcomes of the first Global Stocktake and the agreements adopted in 2025. Key priorities will include, among other relevant topics, the implementation of Article 6 of the Paris Agreement, which lays the foundation for a global carbon market.
