Carlos Lago is quoted in a Law360 Real Estate Authority article, “Griffin Buys $1.1B Site For Carnegie Mellon Campus In Miami,” about Ken Griffin's acquisition of approximately 30 acres in Miami's Wynwood neighborhood for a planned Carnegie Mellon University campus.
Lago, who represented seller Moishe Mana in the transaction, highlighted the long-term planning efforts behind the site assemblage and development framework. “We've worked with Mana on this property for over a decade, including obtaining approval of the Mana Wynwood Special Area Plan in 2017,” Lago told Law360. “The Special Area Plan was intentionally crafted to provide a flexible zoning framework capable of accommodating the district's long-term growth while preserving its identity as a cultural and creative hub.”
