Maggie Boyadjian represents health care providers in licensing, regulatory compliance, privacy, risk analysis, and contractual matters. She advises Federally Qualified Health Centers, reproductive health care providers, clinics, and children’s hospitals on participation in federal health care programs, audits, overpayment investigations, payor contracts, HIPAA and California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA) compliance, and the impact of legislative changes. Maggie brings a background that combines direct operational compliance leadership with legal counsel, giving her a practical understanding of how regulatory requirements affect day-to-day clinic operations.
Maggie’s regulatory work includes matters involving the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the California Department of Health Care Services, the California Department of Public Health, the Board of Pharmacy, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, the federal Office for Civil Rights, the Office of Family Planning, and the federal Department of Health and Human Services.
Previously, Maggie served as the senior manager of compliance, privacy, and risk at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, where she maintained clinic licenses for more than 50 sites and managed policies, procedures, and operational manuals related to the organization’s risk, privacy, and compliance programs. She also provided oversight of privacy and security protocols for Protected Health Information in compliance with HIPAA and CMIA. Prior to that role, she served as a regulatory compliance analyst in the legal affairs department of a Southern California children’s hospital, where she negotiated business associate agreements, developed institutional conflict of interest policies, and handled physician contracting.

- Drafted, revised, and maintained appropriate clinic compliance policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, and Compliance Plan for a Southern California children’s hospital.°
- Developed and implemented institutional conflict of interest policy throughout a Southern California children’s hospital and related medical group.°
