Amrit K. Dhaliwal focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on real estate, financial, property tax, and business disputes. She represents developers, institutional owners, and operating companies in high-stakes, multi-party matters in both state and federal courts, including disputes involving contractual issues, corporate governance, and property tax assessments and appeals.

Amrit manages all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation strategy and internal investigations through discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, and trial preparation. She works closely with clients to develop strategic, business-focused strategies and regularly assists in resolving disputes through mediation, arbitration, and trial. Her practice is marked by a detail-oriented and proactive approach to case management, with a focus on pursuing efficient and favorable outcomes in high-pressure litigation environments.

Plaintiff claimed an enforceable joint venture and sought over $1 billion in damages. The court dismissed all primary causes of action on summary adjudication. While the motion was pending, plaintiff was granted leave to add a new claim, which later settled.
  • Dismissal of pharmaceutical manufacturer based on preemption in federal court personal injury product liability action involving ingestion of generic brand drug.°
