Simon is an established real estate lawyer whose practice spans developments, acquisition and disposal transactions, pre-lets, financings, and landlord and tenant matters. He has advised on a range of high-profile matters, including major asset acquisitions in London, large-scale city centre redevelopment programmes, purpose-built student accommodation acquisitions, and significant hotel development projects. His client base includes some of the largest UK property companies and institutional investors, as well as government-owned entities and global capital-allocating clients.

  • Acting for Brookfield on the development, pre-letting and financing of the 430,000 square foot office tower 1 Leadenhall, including the regear of the City headlease and a pre-let to Latham & Watkins.°
  • Representing a sovereign wealth fund on the acquisition, financing and asset management of 8 Canada Square (HSBC Tower) at Canary Wharf.°
  • Advising a major international real estate investor and developer, City Developments Limited, on a £181 million acquisition of four purpose-built student accommodation platform across England.°
  • Advising a private developer on the development of a large hotel project in the City of London.°
  • Working as part of a team of legal advisors assisting Federated Hermes on the merger of its Federated Hermes Property Unit Trust with L&G.°
