Shane Griffin represents developers, institutional owners, investors and lenders in commercial real estate transactions, with a concentration on office and mixed-use development in Denver. He has served as development and leasing counsel on prominent projects in Lower Downtown, River North, Cherry Creek, and the Central Business District, and he brings deep familiarity with how deals in those submarkets are structured and priced. Clients appreciate Shane for his command of the local market, his direct communication and his willingness to keep business objectives at the center of every negotiation. The son of a real estate developer, he approaches transactions with the perspective of a principal as well as a lawyer.

Shane guides clients through the full lifecycle of complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, and leasing. His work spans apartment, office, industrial, hotel, retail, casino, and mixed-use assets. He regularly negotiates initial deal terms, joint venture agreements, acquisition, development and construction loans, purchase and sale agreements, development agreements, construction contracts, and easements. Shane also handles sophisticated lease negotiations for both landlords and tenants, with particular depth in leasing newly built mixed-use office developments.

Shane has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America and previously by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America. He is a graduate of the Downtown Denver Partnership Leadership Program, reflecting his sustained engagement with the city’s development community.
