Profile
Precious Johnson is a skilled litigator who focuses on high-stakes matters involving complex causation, scientific, and regulatory issues. She represents corporate clients in products liability, toxic tort, and medical malpractice litigation.
Precious brings a fact-focused approach to complex litigation, leveraging targeted discovery and investigation to identify the issues most critical to her clients’ defense. She has experience in plaintiff-specific case development, including strategic written discovery, fact witness depositions, and investigations relating to liability, causation, and damages. Her attention to detail helps litigation teams develop key themes and make informed strategic decisions throughout the litigation process.
Precious has deep experience managing discovery and supporting all phases of trial preparation. She handles nationwide written discovery efforts for clients involved in asbestos litigation, working closely with counsel across jurisdictions to promote a cohesive and consistent defense strategy. Precious also coordinates discovery in state-court toxic tort and medical malpractice cases in Georgia. Her experience includes preparing dispositive and pretrial motions and supporting trial teams through voir dire and jury selection strategy, witness preparation, and the development of direct and cross examinations for fact and expert witnesses.
In addition to her litigation practice, Precious maintains an active pro bono practice focused on criminal justice matters, including representing individuals seeking post-conviction relief, sentence modification, and court record sealing. She also is involved in firmwide Engagement, Culture, and Opportunity initiatives.
Prior to entering private practice, Precious completed a federal judicial clerkship with the Hon. Ivan L.R. Lemelle of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana. Drawing on that experience, she brings a practical understanding of effective advocacy and judicial decision-making to her approach to litigation.
