María Noriega is a member of Greenberg Traurig's Litigation Practice in Mexico City. She focuses her practice on civil, commercial, and arbitration matters, advising domestic and international clients on complex disputes, including real estate matters, contractual disputes, applications for interim and precautionary measures, constitutional relief proceedings (amparo), and constitutional appeals arising from commercial disputes. Her arbitration practice spans commercial arbitration and the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards, both domestic and foreign, including matters involving international parties and cross-border proceedings.

Her practice is strengthened by a public law background. Prior to joining the firm, María spent more than eight years at the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice, most recently serving as Senior Judicial Law Clerk, where she analyzed complex constitutional and administrative disputes involving regulatory authorities and government action, drafted judgments, opinions, and individual votes in high-profile cases, and assessed procedural admissibility, standing, and standards of judicial review. She has also advised on financial regulatory compliance and contractual risk allocation for a regulated financial institution.

Drawing on this experience, María combines rigorous constitutional analysis with a strategic approach to litigation, anticipating procedural risks and leveraging standards of judicial review in high-stakes disputes, particularly in regulated industries.
