Greenberg Traurig’s Jordan W. Cowman to Speak at 16th Annual ABA Labor and Employment Law Conference

DALLAS – Nov. 9, 2022 – Jordan W. Cowman, global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Labor & Employment Practice shareholder, will speak at the 16th Annual American Bar Association (ABA) Labor and Employment Law Conference Nov. 9-12.

Cowman will participate on the panel “Securing Client Communications and Data,” Nov. 10 from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. EST. The panel will discuss how issues arise when client data crosses jurisdictional borders and provide guidance on protecting client data and communications. The program also will examine cross-border attorney-client privilege issues, the various ways jurisdictions view in-house counsel communications, and comparative approaches to attorney obligations to secure client data and communications.

The four-day conference, the ABA Labor and Employment Law Section’s signature event, will bring together speakers from private practice and government agencies for robust panels and dialogues, according to its website. 

A frequent speaker at conferences, Cowman previously served on the steering committee and drafting committee at the Sedona Conference.

Cowman, based in the Greenberg Traurig’s Dallas office, co-chairs the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice’s International Employment, Immigration & Workforce Strategies Group. A long-time U.S. business representative to the United Nations’ International Labor Organization in Geneva, Switzerland, Cowman is sought after by businesses when issues arise concerning international and cross-border employment matters, corporate social responsibility, international corporate campaigns, and other international labor and employment matters. He has assisted clients with business combinations and merger and acquisition due diligence, and has advised clients on supply chain issues and the eradication of forced labor.
