LAS VEGAS – May 8, 2017 – A Greenberg Traurig team successfully represented MY Entertainment TV before the Nevada Supreme Court. On April 27, the Nevada Supreme Court upheld MY Entertainment TV’s right to film and broadcast trials in Nevada by denying Michael Solid’s Petition for Writ of Mandamus challenging the Nevada Supreme Court rules governing media in a courtroom.
My Entertainment TV produces a series for the Discovery Channel, last season was titled Las Vegas Law and the upcoming season is entitled Sin City Justice.
My Entertainment TV was represented by Shareholder Mark G. Tratos and Of Counsel Tami D. Cowden and Lisa Zastrow. The team handled the media challenge before both the District Court and the Nevada Supreme Court. Tratos is also production counsel for MY Entertainment TV.
“We were pleased with the Nevada Supreme Court’s opinion which tracked very closely all of the arguments MY Entertainment advanced in its opposition to the writ,” stated Tratos, founding shareholder of the firm’s Las Vegas office.
