Scott Murray is a shareholder in the Dallas office of Greenberg Traurig, where he focuses his practice on private fund formation and investment management.

Scott advises private equity sponsors and investment managers on the structuring, formation, and operation of private investment funds across a broad range of alternative asset classes. Scott also advises clients on investment management regulatory matters, including issues arising under the Advisers Act and broker-dealer regulatory frameworks, and regularly handles the fund-related aspects of mergers and acquisitions, minority investments in asset managers, and strategic transactions involving sponsor platforms.

In addition, his practice includes advising on growth and early-stage capital investments, complex partnership and joint venture structures, and equity line and alternative financing arrangements.
