After serving almost eight years as an officer in the United States Marine Corps, Norman M. Vigil joined Greenberg Traurig upon completion of law school in 2020. Norman finished his service as a Captain in the Marine Corps having trained foreign militaries across Asia, completed a combat deployment to Afghanistan, and been hand selected to serve as an instructor at The Basic School, the Marine Corps’ premier leadership academy, training newly commissioned officers in leadership and the warfighting skills necessary to serve as rifle platoon commanders. Norman brings the same values that made him successful as a Marine Corps officer to his litigation practice where he focuses on the areas of commercial litigation, financial services litigation, white collar defense, and government investigations. Norman also has experience at the trial level involving cases regarding first amendment issues, property disputes, zoning, and land use issues. Norman has broad experience advising clients of all sizes regarding litigation in both state and federal courts and advocates for clients at all phases of litigation and dispute resolution, from the moment a problem arises through the pleadings stage, discovery, motion practice, and both jury and bench trials. Norman also has appellate court experience advocating for and defending clients from appeals.

- Represented property owner in a three-day bench trial in Massachusetts Land Court which involved claims against a neighbor and developer for breach of contract, trespass, and boundary line issues.
- Represented client in complex marital dispute involving a multi-day bench trial in the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court requiring forensic analysis of a complex venture capital fund and representation on appeal.
- Assisted clients in numerous commercial lease disputes resulting from aftermath of Covid-19.
- Represented multiple clients in zoning and eminent domain cases on both the plaintiff and defendants’ side of the litigation.
- Represented plaintiffs in multiple defamation suits involving complex First Amendment issues nuanced by state law.
- Assisted numerous clients with employment law matters involving collective bargaining agreements, MCAD complaints, and claims of wrongful termination.
- Represented pro se defendants as a Rule 3:03 student practioner on misdemeanor criminal matters in Boston Municipal Court and Boston Juvenile Court involving matters ranging from delinquency proceedings to driving under the influence, larceny, battery, and possession of controlled substances charges.°
