Andrew Z. Smith Appointed Quality Care for Children’s Executive Committee Chair

ATLANTA – Dec. 01, 2022 –Andrew Z. Smith, an associate in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Atlanta office, was appointed chair of the Quality Care for Children’s (QCC) executive committee. QCC is a Georgia-based organization committed to equipping families and childcare providers with the knowledge and resources to nurture and educate infants and young children.

Smith, a member of the firm’s Litigation, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Healthcare Litigation, Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity, and Financial Services Litigation Practices, handles complex commercial litigation and business disputes, as well as data and privacy protection issues, products liability, and insurance coverage litigation. His experience extends to both state and federal courts and involves all phases of a dispute, including pre-litigation, discovery, trial, and appeal. Smith also has experience in electronic discovery, including advising clients regarding legal hold obligations to assisting with collection, search, and production of data. Additionally, he has experience with litigation counseling, including security preparedness and data breach response coverage.

Passionate about serving his community, Smith is active with board positions, advocacy for underserved populations, and pro bono work. Within the firm, he serves as the chair of the Atlanta office’s Associates Committee, where he also previously served as the Pro Bono Committee chair for three years. His pro bono work includes helping members of the transgender community petition for legal name changes and volunteering with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyer Foundation where he sits on the Leadership Council. In addition to his position with the QCC, Smith serves on the Young Alumni/Alumna Committee for University of Georgia Law School and serves on the Atlanta Leadership Committee for Lambda Legal.
