Greenberg Traurig’s David B. Weinstein and Richard J. Valladares Selected as Litigation Counsel of America Fellows

NEW YORK – April 22, 2024 – David B. Weinstein and Richard J. Valladares, shareholders at global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, have been selected as fellows of the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA), an invitation-only trial lawyer honorary society limited to less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers, judges, and scholars. Fellows are selected based upon excellence and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and for superior ethical reputation.

Weinstein, chair of the Environmental & Toxic Tort Litigation Practice, is a litigator with over 30 years of experience, and is a strategist for high-stakes and complex civil and white-collar litigation, including business, environmental, toxic tort, real estate, land use, and other challenging matters.

He has been recognized in multiple editions of Chambers and Partners USA Guide, The Best Lawyers in America, The Legal 500 United States, Who’s Who Legal, Benchmark Litigation, and Florida Trend magazine which inducted him into its Hall of Fame in 2010 and recognized him as a Notable Managing Partner in 2023 for his leadership role in Greenberg Traurig’s Tampa office.

Valladares is administrative shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Atlanta office and chair of the Atlanta Business Litigation Practice. He has experience in numerous areas of litigation, including complex commercial litigation, personal injury defense, class action, construction litigation, products liability, and insurance coverage litigation. His litigation and trial experience extends throughout virtually all phases of a dispute, including pre-litigation negotiations, administrative investigations, trial, and appeal.

In addition, he advises a wide array of clients, from Fortune 500 companies to the smallest entrepreneur, on commercial dispute resolution and litigation avoidance techniques. He also has broad experience advising clients on electronic discovery and electronic document retention, and frequently writes and lectures on these topics.

Weinstein and Valladares join fellow Greenberg Traurig lawyers Lorence Jon Bielby, Richard A. Edlin, Kristine J. Feher, Annette W. Jarvis, Kurt A. Kappes, Michael J. King, Wendy Johnson Lario, and Louis Smith in the LCA.
