Barbara T. Kaplan to Present at IRS Representation Conference 6th Annual Criminal Tax Day

NEW YORK – June 7, 2022 Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP Shareholder Barbara T. Kaplan, co-chair of the Global Tax Practice, will present at the IRS Representation Conference 6th Annual Criminal Tax Day. Kaplan will speak on a panel titled “Dealing with the Undocumented Worker” June 10 at 10:45 a.m. and moderate a panel titled “When Failure to File a Return Becomes Criminal” at 3:30 p.m.

During “Dealing with the Undocumented Worker,” panelists will discuss issues that arise when businesses hire undocumented workers and what can be done for their clients before involving the IRS. “When Failure to File a Return Becomes Criminal” will discuss representing taxpayers who have not filed tax returns and when failure to file becomes a criminal issue.
