WASHINGTON, D.C. – Oct. 20, 2022 – Tonya M. Esposito, shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Litigation Practice in Washington, D.C., will serve as a panel moderator at the American Bar Association (ABA) Litigation Section’s 2022 Professional Success Summit taking place Oct. 26-28 at the Omni Los Angeles Hotel at California Plaza.
On Oct. 27 at 9:30 a.m., Esposito will moderate the panel titled “Public Service: Pathways to Pivot or Propel Your Legal Practice,” which will explore “different ways attorneys can leverage public service to propel their legal career or to pivot in a different direction. Drawing on the experience of former and current federal prosecutors, a former public defender, and law firm partners engaged in civic service, panelists will explore how public or civic service offers a springboard to heightened success and fulfillment in legal careers,” according to the program.
According to the ABA, “The ABA Litigation Section’s Professional Success Summit is the Section’s biennial conference dedicated to maximizing the potential of litigators from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds that have been traditionally underrepresented in the legal profession. The Summit provides unique opportunities for litigators to see, hear, and meet attorneys, distinguished judges, and leading in-house and outside counsel.”
Esposito focuses her practice on a variety of consumer issues, including financial services, antitrust, and marketing and advertising. She has considerable experience representing clients in private litigation, as well as in government investigations brought by state attorneys general, the Federal Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She is active in her community, currently serves on the board of directors for several non-profit organizations based in Washington, DC, including the Greater DC Diaper Bank, CentroNia, and her alma matter Trinity Washington University (formerly Trinity College).
